BIOVELOCITY PRIVACY POLICY: UPDATED DECEMBER 2004

For the Biovelocity.net web site ("Biovelocity") (owned and operated by The Stiller Centre for Biotechnology Commercialization) the privacy and protection of your personal information is very important to us. Our privacy policy fully complies with the Canadian government's privacy legislation, the "Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act".
Information Collected and Your Rights.
Biovelocity obtains your express or implied consent before we collect or use your personal information, or disclose it to others (except as required or allowed by law). You can withdraw your consent for us to use your personal information for particular marketing whenever you want, subject to legal or contractual requirements and reasonable notice. You can change your membership, subscription and email preferences at any time. You can update or change your personal information at any time. You can also choose to add or delete yourself from various communications when you register.

If you purchase a service from Biovelocity, the information you give, - such as your credit card number, purchase information, and contact information, is provided only to the banking merchant.

You will not be contacted directly by any third party as a result of your relationship with Biovelocity unless you have given us permission to do so. Co-brands.
Biovelocity is developing co-branded sites where we work closely with various other business associations. If you register with Biovelocity from a co-branded site, Biovelocity will share only your name and email address with the co-brand partner to verify your identity and membership for discounts and special offerings.
Biovelocity will not collect personal information without your knowledge and permission, nor do we sell or distribute any personally identifiable site visitor data.
Directory.
This site provides a directory of academic, nonprofit, government and for-profit companies and contacts within those organizations. Information that is attained by Biovelocity.net for the development of this directory will be from publicly available sources and/or from your registration. Information can be updated at any time by designated members of an institution/company. Service providers and partners will also be listed in this directory.
Your Consent.
By using Biovelocity you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by all terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy. By submitting your information to us, you evidence your consent to us storing and using the personal information submitted as indicated in this Privacy Policy.
Modifications to Policy.
We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time by posting a modified Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any of the changes to this Privacy Policy, you will cease using this website, and you will have the opportunity of contacting us, and controlling any personal information which you have already provided to us.
Exception.
